REMINISCING

MORNING,

OLD FRIENDS, GOOD TIMES, SPECIAL MEMORIES....... I know we all have them, and today i would like to share with you a very special memory with some very special friends....

In 1985, hubby and I and our 2 children, then 6mths & 4yrs, arrived back in Australia, after 3 years, from a posting overseas with the RAAF to Butterworth, Malaysia.

We were posted to Adelaide, S.A. ..... and living next door to us was a newly married young couple, that had only been in their house a month or so before us...

We soon became good friends........ and not long after, we became close friends.... and now... well NOW.. we are BESTEST BUDDIES!!!  having shared lots of ups & downs together....

One experience we all shared together was DINNER!!!  yep... I said dinner....

one evening we were invited next door for dinner and asked to "dress " in our evening wear (yep that is what they called it in our day)  so hubby put on his suit, i put on a long gown and we got  a babysitter, and hopped over the fence and went next door for dinner.....

FISH & CHIPS EATEN OUT OF THE PAPER ON THE LOUNGE ROOM FLOOR!!!

YEP!!!!  our friends idea of a joke... but we sure did have a fabulous evening!!!

now... you ask.. where is she leading with all this drivvle..

WELL, while staying in Adelaide with our bestest friends last week we decided to "do it again" for old times sake.... take a look..

as you can see .. somethings have changed from 1985..
we had to serve it on the coffee table,
as SOME of us couldnt manage to sit on the floor
and then get up again so had to sit on a stool.. hehehehe
and this time we served our fish & chips
from a platter
instead of the paper

and this time .. NO babysitter was needed!!!!

We had a great evening, REMINISCING.......

THANKS ANNE & MAL xxxxx

THANKS for taking the time to look....
