MY FIRST 'LUMPY BUMPY' LO FOR 2012

I know it has taken til the middle of January to finally get myself organised (but in my defence .. I have not been well for the last week) but as it was ART's Cyber Crop Night last friday night, there are some great challenges up !!!

This is my take on "MARIE's CC CHALLENGE"

the pic was taken whilst on our CRUISE just before christmas

I changed it to B/W and 'distressed' it

and I used a clock stamp, distress inks & water on an old book page for the

'vintage' piece and a pice of 'chippy' for the 'book spine'

and a tiny bit of 'doodling' around the edges

Yesterday arvo I found a little time to 'scrap' so I started with another challenge from the lovely Terri over at ART... this one is one of our January Monthly Challenges set by our wonderful DT Team.

BOOKMARK CHALLENGE :-
To create a bookmark - from your scraps in any shape or design you wish.
You must also include a stamped image or verse, ribbon and some bling

and here is my take on Terri's challenge :-

Over at ART the lovely Terri has set us a year long project ...

""A layout a week for the entire year showcasing everything you, your family and friends have gotten up too. Wouldn't it be nice to have it all in one album to look back and reflect on.

2012 'SCRAPPIN' DIARY/PROJECT BOOK

Today I have an actualy scrappin' project to show you that I did yesterday !!

My 2012 scrappin' diary/work project book.

I do a new one of these at the start of every year to help me keep track of my scrappin' projects/layouts etc. I printout any monthly challenge, swaps, OTP's that i would like to participate in from the forum that I belong to ARTISTIC DOCUMENT stick them in my 'work book' so i have them handy as a reference and then when i have finished my 'piece of work' and photographed it, i place a small pic of it on the corresponding challenge page for future reference ...

I have been doing this now for 4 years and it is great to look back on the way I was scrapping then .. and keep track of my projects I have on the go and their due dates and requirements NOW.

and ...... most importantly ..... IT WORKS FOR ME !!!!

DOWN THE RIVER - BANGKOK

AFTERNOON

This arvo I have some more pics to show you from the day we spent in BANGKOK, but ... not all of them are 'happy snaps' as you would all remember .... BANGKOK & SURROUNDS suffered badly in JULY this year with devastating floods ... and as my pics will show ... they still suffer badly in some areas .... our River Cruise (in a much much smaller boat) in the afternoon was a real eye opener and sure makes ME thankful for our home .....

This was our first port of call... but first I would like to introduce you to our

Yep, holiday is over, and now we are home again and preparing for CHRISTMAS !!!!

I have some AMAZING pics to show you today from our visit to the RHODODENDRON GARDENS at OLINDA, Victoria .... 'our' visit being myself, hubby and our Sister-in-Law, Sharon when she was here on holiday about 10 days ago ..

The weather on the day was misty and a fine rain fell on and off during the day (but didnt put us off at all) so as we walked around the gardens the mist was coming in and out and it was absolutely beautiful

I have been TOTALLY SLACK keeping you all up to date with my Singapore escapades this week ....... but I have had the MOST FABULOUS TIME !!!!!! I am hoping the pics I have to show you will make up for my tardiness !!!!

SATURDAY ..... hubby and I headed into ORCHARD ROAD for some retail therapy (Yep !! More....) and also to drop off some jewellery to be seen to at a jewellers ...... then headed off to check out another scrapbooking shop that I had found on the net ..... 'LAINE'S PAPETERIE'

but I was VERY restrained !!!!

Then back to the Hotel for a bit of afternoon tea......

before heading off for a visit to the NIGHT SAFARI

SUNDAY ....... Hubby and I headed back into town to pick up said jewellery and then headed of to do some "Electronic" shopping, a little something for our son's birthday next week, a bigger external H/D for all my 'scrappin stufff' :) and while we were strolling around I came across this unusual sculpture ... so ... of course ... had to take a happy snap !!!

MONDAY .... Met G/F in ORCHARD ROAD for some MORE girly retail therapy and of course LUNCH !!!

SINGAPORE ... DAY 10

MORNING,

Hubby and I headed out to ORCHARD ROAD when he returned from work last night, for a bit of retail therapy (scrap shopping actually) took a Cab to the train station, hopped on a 'green line' train at Paya Lebar station, changed to a 'red line' train at City Hall station and then arrived at Dhoby Ghaut station ..... and we were at PLAZA SINGAPURA !!!! and headed straight to "Made With Love" for some serious SCRAP shopping !!!!!!

Then it was time for DINNER ...... I don't think we have eaten Japanese food before ... certainly not MISO RAMEN .... but it looked wonderful .. soooo .... we took the plunge here this is what we had for dinner ..

TERRIFIC!!!!!!

Then as we wandered aroun the Plaza .. I spied ..... SPOTLIGHT so headed in for a look around and they happened to have Quilting Fabris on sale so i picked up 2 lovely 'oriental' pieces for my 'stash'

Then sadly it was almost 10pm and the shops were closing, so we headed back to the train station, caught 2 trains and a cab back to the Hotel and headed into the WAVE CAFE for supper ....

Apple Crumble for hubby and a Strawberry Tart for me

and a pot of Peppermint Tea to wash it down with !!!

then it was time to head upstairs for the night ....

all in all ... another fab day in Singapore !!!!
